Cast Urethane Parts

High-Value, Low-Volume Prototype or Production

Cast urethane, also known as RTV tooling (Room Temperature Vulcanization) is a process where liquid silicone rubber is poured around a master mold to create a mold for casting parts. Over the years, the process has earned a reputation for delivering high-value, low-volume production with great detail and surface finish.

Our casting procedures include an unique mix of vacuum, heat and pressure environments that allow for the production of single parts to short or medium production runs with consistent dimensional features, void free parts, a variety of textures and colors.

Urethanes are available in a full range of materials that mimic the production part. These cast materials have properties that are rigid, high impact, high temperature, medical grade, glass filled, optically clear, flame retardant, FDA approved and UL94VO compliant. This is the process where a project succeeds or fails. Intricate details most often get lost or passed over when there is a lack of experience and communication. We use our exclusive CEMI’s (custom engineering molding inserts) to ensure that delicate details meet your requirements and functionality.

We are capable of producing any size tool and use our engineering capabilities to make sure that we can produce trust worthy castings with good control. Good molds make good parts and attention to detail and a genuine excitement for the job makes our RTV tooling department one of our strong assets.

Casting:
We include a unique mix of vacuum, heat and pressure environments that define the cutting edge in casting. This allows us to produce anywhere from single parts to short or medium production runs with consistent dimensional features, void free parts, a variety of textures and colors. Color matching systems are based on the Pantone color scheme and textures matched to the industries standard moldtech. With a full range of materials like ABS, flexible urethanes, high impact, high temp, medical grade, FDA approved, glass filled, optical clear, flame retardant, 12 sec burn compliant, UL94VO, 2 shot over mold, insert over mold, silicone keypads and parts ETC. Or anything in between, (our project management staff is very well versed in all of these materials and procedures and will be happy to assist you in choosing the right one for your project)

Finishing and Paint: 
We are experienced in color matching, shielding, texturing, glossing, graphic transfers and any number of post operation processes that help put your product in your customers’ hands. Whether you need us to process a master model, casted or machined parts for photo shoots, marketing, trade show samples, board or investor meetings, our finishing department will make your product look like a million bucks.
